Can a third party tech company shut down my content hosted through Lightcast?
Lightcast is not using third-party hosting and cloud services. We are largely “tech autonomous”, meaning, we minimize our reliance on third-party vendors and tech suppliers to the bare minimum and rather retain maximum control over our ecosystem by writing proprietary code and software, and running our own proprietary server cloud.
Aside from its CDN-Core with Storage Centers and Origin Shields, the Lightcast Meta-CDN rides on the backbones of the planet's largest Content Delivery Networks with a total of over 128,000 streaming servers deployed for our Publishers. Therefore, your content is safe with Lightcast.com, as safe as it possibly gets in our world today.
The only risk of censorship or cancelation would come from App Stores, Podcast Stores and Social Networks. This would only affect your app or podcast properties, or auto-publishing from your Lightcast Media Cloud to major Social Networks, but they could never cancel WebApps provided by Lightcast, nor any content integrated on your own websites.
