Can I use my 30-day Trial Channel for live-streaming of a public event?

Your 30-day trial channels are not a full Service Package. They only contain basic streaming services and only a small bandwidth package for testing purposes.

Therefore Lightcast.com does not allow Trial Channels to be used in live-environments for public events and media distribution. Here are the reasons why:

1. We do not want to allow viewers to damage our reputation and our relationship with you based on reports of issues they experience with their devices, their internet connection or their local network.

2. We would like to avoid unnecessary strain on our relationship with you resulting from the use of third-party live-encoders, or other video- or network-hardware, beyond our control and service.

3. We don’t want you to run out of your free trial bandwidth during live-events and risk putting your viewership and reputation on the line.

4. We want to be able to assist you and support you ahead of going live for the first time in order to help provide a successful and enjoyable experience for you and your viewers.

For these reasons Lightcast.com does not allow the use of Trial Channels for the publishing of media and for public live-events.
