Do I have control over video ads on my own websites and apps?
The quick answer is, yes, you do. Being the operator of your own websites and apps you are in control over ads, unless special terms and provisions are in place with the developer or hosting company.
Apps and websites built by
Lightcast.com always put the operator/publisher (
Lightcast.com Clients) in charge and control over ads. You can decide whether or not to have ad-serving integrated into websites and apps built by
Lightcast.com. Third-parties, such as developers, hosting companies, ad networks, are not entitled to monetize your websites and apps, unless you specifically authorize them.
Lightcast.com cannot place ads on your websites and apps as long as you have an active OVP service package and account in good standing. The net advertising revenue of ads served on your websites and apps goes to you, the operator and publisher of the websites or apps. Fees and rev shares of ad networks should be deducted prior to payouts to you as the publisher and should not come out of your net advertising revenue share.
