Does Lightcast inform me if or when my app or podcast was released or removed by app stores or podcast stores?
If you ordered apps or podcasts from
Lightcast.com, we will develop your ordered apps and podcasts and submit them to the respective app stores and podcast stores. Thereafter it is entirely in the hands of the app stores and podcast stores.
App stores and podcast stores publish your apps and podcasts at their discretion, without notice, without providing monitoring capabilities or influence over the publishing date.
In the same way they can reject an app or podcast, or remove an existing app or podcast from their stores, again, without notice or influence by anyone.
Don’t forget: similar to social networks and social media platforms, app stores and podcast platforms are not obligated to publish your apps, podcasts or contents, and as an OVP and media distribution system, our influence and scope of service ends with the submission of apps and distribution of contents.
If your apps are published through your developer accounts, you as account owner might receive an email from the app store that they released or removed your app. Streaming providers and OVPs such as Lightcast do not receive the same communication from app stores.
Therefore, it is highly recommended, for you as a publisher, to keep checking on your apps and podcasts regularly, in order to know which of your apps and podcasts are published or unpublished.
