How do views affect ad-calls?

Views are all player events/connections, including pause/resume triggers of the viewer, switches between bitrates, reconnections to the server, reloads of the player page, and other events triggered by the user, the player or the device. So one viewer can actually generate multiple views. With this in mind, not every view can trigger an Ad-Call.

Ad-frequency is also set to the recommended level of no more than every 3rd video (pre/post-roll) or every 15th minute (mid-rolls) unless you have sent us a different mid-roll frequency.  This is done in order not to overstretch the viewer’s patience and tolerance towards the amount of ads interrupting the experience. This is the second factor which influences the ratio of Views to Ad-Calls. The standard average is every 5-10 Views.
