Toubleshooting

I have highly critical 24/7 streams and/or live-events which I cannot afford to go offline. What can I do in order to protect my streams?

1. Add a bandwidth buffer by adding Video Minutes. It is easy to add a bandwidth buffer of eternal Streaming Minutes with one click in the Usage box within your Lightcast Media Cloud account. Purchased Streaming Minutes are “eternal”. They never expire, but remain in your account to cover overage usage once your monthly (or annual) Package Minutes ran out.

2. Turn on Overdraft Protection which will prevent any down-time of your stream. See how you can turn on Overdraft Protection in your Lightcast Media Cloud account:

3. Make sure your payment details are correct, valid, up-to-date and your card on file has sufficient credit to process the recurring payments instantly. Your monthly (or annual) payment date always remains the same, allowing you to prepare ahead and check on the validity and funding of your card on file.

Please note that while our accounting system provides a grace-period within payment failures can be resolved in order to avoid auto-deactivations, bandwidth is only being added along with the successful processing of a payment. This may result in the delay of new bandwidth being credited to your account if your payment is delayed. If you have added a bandwidth buffer to your account and you have turned on Overdraft Protection, your account will be safe and sound and all your media and channels will remain online.
