If a family has multiple Roku Boxes, do they have to pay for the subscription for each device?
Not if all boxes are linked to the same Roku Account. The connection is between the Roku App Subscriber Database and the Roku Account (rather than the box hardware). If the users in the household registered their Roku boxes independently, creating separate Roku accounts for them, then yes, they have to buy separate subscriptions.
