Is all my meta-data displayed on all apps/properties/devices?
While the Lightcast Media Cloud allows you to enter a great variety of meta-data (such as descriptions, keywords and tags), each publishing platform (such as Roku, FireTV, AppleTV, iTunes, Facebook, etc…) displays meta-data according to its own setup and at its own discretion. As a result you may add meta-data which does not automatically show up on a specific app. Certain meta-data may be made public and displayable on specific apps through further custom development of your app, but in some cases the app-framework of a specific platform (such as Roku for instance) may limit the possibilities developers have when it comes to displaying certain meta-data.
Missing meta-data on one of your mobile or TV apps and in need of further development assistance? Please contact customercare@lightcast.com .
