My apps or contents don’t show up in search results of App Stores. How can I increase the visibility of my apps in the App Stores?

App Stores indicate and list search results similar to search engines. There are generally two types of metadata levels:

1. App Level: this includes name, descriptions and keywords of your App and how your App is found in the App Stores.

2. Content Level: this includes titles, descriptions and keywords of your Contents and how they might be deep-linked and listed within App Store searches.

1. Here is the most important measure to increase visibility/discoverability of your Apps within App Stores:

Add the right descriptions and keywords to your apps during the build-phase, via the App Specs Forms. If you feel that you need to change, modify, improve your app’s metadata, please contact Customer Care.

2. Here are several measures you can take to increase visibility/discoverability of your app’s Contents within App Stores:

- Improve video titles: are your video titles description and do they include keywords the videos are expected to be found by?

- Improve and add to the description: how long are the descriptions of your videos, audio files and live-streams? Do they include keywords you want to be found by?

- Add keywords for each video: make sure to use relevant keywords and as descriptive to your content as possible. It helps if some of your keywords are also found within the description.

None of this guarantees that an App Store “deep links” into videos or live-streams of your apps, nor that it lists your search result at the top, or for specific keywords, but it increases the chances. You can control all of your content's metadata, including descriptions, keywords, titles, gallery images, via your Media Cloud in real-time.

Please keep in mind that updates to app metadata, or content metadata, can take 3-4 weeks until they take effect in App Store searches.
