How to set up live-streaming from your iPhone or Android mobile device to the Lightcast OVP and CDN using your choice of three different mobile apps for instant multi-platform distribution to your websites, mobile apps, TV apps, and social network channels, including all of the Media Cloud’s automation and distribution tools.
Using "Live Now" mobile app
Using "Wirecast Go" mobile app

Using "Live Now" mobile app for iOS or Android
Step 1: Download the "Live Now" App

Step 2: Login to your Media Cloud account and select a LIVE Channel you would like to send the stream to
In the left-hand menu of the Media Cloud click on "Channels" and on “Live Events”. Then select the LIVE Channel you would like to send the stream to.
Step 3: Click the "STREAM" tab and copy the Stream Key and CDN Access Point
We recommend choosing the closest CDN Access Point to your location.
Step 4: Enter the Stream Key and CDN Access Point URL into your "Live Now" App

Enter the RTMP URL (CDN Access Point URL) into the "Server URL" field.

Enter the Stream Key into the "Stream name/key" field.

Leave the "Streamer URL" field blank.

*Optional Step: We recommend using the default settings in the app for streaming (HD), but if you need to change it click on the Gear Icon at the top right to change the settings.

Click “Go Live” at the bottom.

Step 5: Click the "Start" button at the bottom when you are ready to begin streaming
Using "Wirecast Go" mobile app for iOS
Step 1: Download the "Wirecast Go" mobile app at https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wirecast-go/id987286934?ls=1
Step 2: Copy and paste the Stream Key and CDN Access Point
- Click the red button in the app to setup your live stream.
- Under "RTMP Servers" select "Add New Server".
- On the same phone, log into your Lightcast Media Cloud account and go to “Channels" / "Live Events”.
- Select the LIVE Channel you wish to stream through
- Select the tab “STREAM” and copy and paste the “Stream Key” and the ”Server URL" of the CDN Access Point closest to your location.
Step 3. Click the red "LIVE" button again to begin streaming

Using "GoLive" mobile app for iOS
Step 1: Download the "GoLive" mobile app at https://apps.apple.com/us/app/go-live-for-obs-studio/id1523284526
Step 2: Set the output settings for your live stream
- Click the three dots menu icon
- Configure your settings. We recommend 30 fps, a minimum of 720p (if you have enough internet bandwidth available)
Step 3: On the same phone, log in to your Media Cloud account and select a LIVE Channel you would like to send the stream to

Step 5: Enter the Stream Key and CDN Access Point URL into your "GoLive" App
1. Click the camera icon in your "GoLive" App
2. Under "Broadcasts" click "Add New Server"
3. Enter RTMP URL (= CDN Access Point URL) and Stream Key which you copied from your LIVE Channel and click "Save" in the top right corner. It will automatically switch to the camera and you will be live.
