What happens if we run out of transcoding and continue to upload new content?
It is not unusual for Publishers to run out of transcoding before running out of Storage. It usually happens when files are being deleted in order to free up Storage Space. However, new uploads still have to be transcoded every time in order to be compatible with all platforms and devices and can be played back on all players. Transcoding can therefore always be purchased at low rates as needed, as-you-go, without being forced to upgrade to a bigger plan.
You can see the rates for one time transcoding purchase options on the dashboard of your Media Cloud account and the rates for monthly transcoding subscriptions at https://mediacloud.lightcast.com/cms/add-on-products.
