The Channel IDs are unique IDs used for each Channel as an identifier. Channel names can be changed easily, but Channel IDs are unique and cannot be changed. Channel IDs are important for communication between publishers and app/web developers and also correspond to the ID in the Channel database on the CDN.  Channel IDs are not visible to viewers.
