What is the difference between Geo Blocking within the Media Cloud and Geo Restrictions within the app stores?
Geo-Blocking within the Media Cloud is content-specific and can be set at any of these three levels within a Media Cloud Account:
1. Media Cloud Account (globally for all contents within the Media Cloud Account)
2. Channel (globally for all contents within a Channel, including its Sub-Channels)
3. Video (for one video specifically)
App-Store Geo Restrictions is an app-specific setting within the App-Store, which we can set when submitting a new TV App or Mobile App to an App-Store. With this setting the App-Store hides, or shows, the app to users within countries according to the set preference. For this, we will need to know prior to app-submission whether or not, and where, you want the app hidden.
