When the live stream is switched from one quality to another due to internet bandwidth changes on the viewer's end, does this affect the views count?
For a multi-bitrate live stream, each different quality stream e.g. high quality, medium quality, and low quality are considered one view per different quality stream viewed. This is because each different quality stream technically uses a separate channel which counts as a separate view.
Practically this means that if a viewer is watching the high quality stream, and his/her available bandwidth decreases, he/she will be switched to the medium quality stream automatically and creates a separate view for the switch.
