      Why are live streams via Facebook not saved as on-demand files automatically?

      Facebook does not store live-streams as on-demand files automatically when passed on from an OVP, assuming that the OVP already records the live-stream and makes it available in a much higher quality.  Using the LightcastOVP your live-streams are recorded in the best quality for optimal delivery on our CDN and can be sent into transcoding for multi-platform publishing, bitrate-adaptive delivery and maximum device compatibility.
