The reason is simple: we are not a standard ad network, but a direct publisher with a portfolio of end-to-end controlled apps: from content storage, content delivery, to ad integration and delivery - all happens in-house in the same eco system.
Since we do not accept third-party apps, all channels / apps are proprietary and controlled by us, thus outside influence on ad deliveries is not possible.
Advertisers who book campaigns with us, book them directly without the regular chain of middle-men as typical in the advertising world. Campaigns booked directly with Lightcast.com are run on end-to-end controlled Apps operated by Lightcast.com, with no part of the service outsourced, or subject to, a third-party. Not only does this annihilate the need of a third-party getting involved with so-called fraud prevention services, but it protects advertisers against the penetration of the end-to-end controlled ecosystem of building and operating apps, hosting and delivering content, and delivering ads, by a third-party service.
Furthermore, so-called fraud-prevention services gain access to data and could, in turn, easily become part of the problem, rather than the solution. In addition, routing ad-requests via their servers, can slow down the ad delivery significantly, which can frustrate viewers.
While we completely understand the need for such services with certain ad networks, we are happy to say that it is simply not necessary in the case of booking campaigns with us on Lightcast OTT Apps and ConnectedTV Channels directly, as the entire eco-system of apps, CDN delivery, and ad serving is controlled and optimized, and can be monitored by both publisher and advertisers.
Conclusion: stay safe and book ad campaigns directly with the end-to-end ecosystem which builds, operates, hosts and services all parts of players and contents your ads run on. This is the only real way to protect your ad campaigns against outside influence on ad performance by third-parties.
